You know how you go through your childhood and teens as thin as a rake, able to eat anything and stay skinny? In your 20s you put on a bit but it’s ok, you can just hold your stomach in a bit, wear your shirts untucked?  And then you get to your 30s and you’re wearing baggy jeans and loose tops?  Yes, me too.

At 5′10″ and 210 pounds, I’ve known for the last five years I had just crept into the ‘Obese’ BMI category, but it wasn’t until I saw a photograph taken of me on holiday recently that it home what a state I was in.  So, starting today, I have decided to do something about it.

By following the  Hacker’s Diet and exercise I plan to be 160 pounds by the beginning of March 2010.  Oh, and also quit smoking, fix my backache, and everything else that’s wrong with my health…
